Tales on Skins

Tales on Skins is the latest solo exhibition of photographs by Cameron Wolf.  The American photographer works as an advisor for the US Agency for International Development (USAID), working in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. An established photographic artist, Wolf has exhibited extensively in the US, most recently his work was featured in Washington, DC at the 2012 International AIDS Conference.  This is his fourth exhibition in Thailand.  Proceeds from all sales will be donated to SWING, a local Thai HIV foundation.

This exhibition showcases Wolf’s signature style of figurative photography of painted and tattooed bodies (skins), archetypes of black and white, tribal and adorned, sacred and profane. Veiled in various guises and ritualised actions, the images, taken in Bangkok, represent the mirrored positive and negative aspects of our psyches.  Wolf’s photographs celebrate the cultural underground, featured in dark, mysterious and often iconic imagery seemingly from a new and profound mythology.

There will be a gala reception on January 21 featuring special performances by guest artists.

Eat Me Restaurant is open to the public daily between 3PM and 1AM. The restaurant/gallery is located next to the Carmelite Monastery on Convent Road near the Sala Daeng Sky Train Station.  It can be contacted at 02 238 0931 or Eatmerestaurant.com
